Argentine Tango every Wed and Fri with Keith Burke and Alan Clarke Hi everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of those who we didn't say yet :) (I promise this is the last one this year :) ) We have some great news to all of you who are interested in trying new dances, and especially for those who love Argentine Tango.... ARGENTINE TANGO - "The history of love... for three minutes" - IN BELFAST *************************************************************************************************************************** Besides the Friday classes with Alan Clarke, we have a new teacher on board to bring the passion of Argentine Tango or as some people call it "the history of love...for three minutes" to us. Keith Burke will teach weekly classes in the King's Head on Wednesdays, the course starting in only a few weeks in February (Date to be confirmed soon) There will be classes for absolute beginners (19.30 - 20.30), and for improvers/intermediates (20.30-21.30) We also try to build up a regular tango night, milonga in a few months time. For those to whom Wednesday is not suitable or not enough, and of course for all the "Alan Clarke fans" (me included :) ), in the new year Alan will also continue his Friday Argentine Tango classes he started last September with some new exciting moves (classes started on 10th January, 20.30-21.30). ARGENTINE TANGO - videos of some amazing performances, and history of the dance ************************************************************************************************************************************ As a teaser for those still trying to decide, here are two of my favourite Argentine Tango videos (the music is also good): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjQPbFmYmb8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wH3Gw9H_eY History The Argentine Tango is a dance of Passion, grace, speed and intricate steps. It is intensely individualistic and improvisational. The music is derived from black African rhythms, the melodies of southern Italy, Cuba and the Andalusian Tango. The theme of tango is passion, emotion and longing. ...
