Galway Swingβs social dance night, the Sugar Foot Stomp, is a monthly night of dancing to our favourite music.
The Next Sugar Foot Stomp will be held in The Commercial Boat Club, Woodquay on Saturday May 12th from 10pm as part of The Galway Lindyfest Weekend- All are welcome to come and join us for a brilliant night of Swing music and dancing !

Hi folks
Due to a mass exodus of swing dancers next month the Suppertime Stomp is going to be a week later than usual. The next one will be held on the 18th May!! We will kick the music off at 9pm; you can then unleash your moves and strut your stuff until just before 1pm. We will endeavour to keep the atmosphere retro with tunes from the 30βs, 40βs and 50βs and maybe even a sneaky modern track with a vintage feel, all sourced by our resident DJ Scottzahoppin. Tea, coffee and buns with be served throughout and alcoholic drinks can be purchased at the Bar.

A night of swing and jive to brilliant vintage tunes.Dress to impress for this special ONE OFF event, 1950's style.
Dress up and Dance to the sounds of swing in the beautiful surroundings of the North Down Museum . The museum will be transformed into a 1952's dance hall, with Swing,Lindy Hop ,Jive and Jitterbug tunes for you to dance to,as well as a Retro cinema,a photo booth to capture memories from the night and plenty of space to chill out in the beautiful courtyard garden .

The Orchestra whose members come from all parts of Ulster, is dedicated to the encouragement of big band music such as the music of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Duke Ellington etc. A change to dance Swing.
Based at the C.I.Y.M.S. the Orchestra performs regularly at the Club on the first Monday of each month.
